ANOTHER AVION BLACKMAN REVIEW

Dec. 18, 2005 - As posted on: http://alphaomeganews.org/reviews/music/05/10/avion.htm

Avion Blackman
Onyinye (pronounced Owe-neen-yay)
Lion of Zion

Avion, a member of Chistafari, makes public her first solo CD, Onyinye. Avion is described as Sade meets Norah Jones with an added flavor of world music. Her tones are subtle and wash over with a wave of peace. She mixes folk, jazz, reggae, and R & B to express the gospel message.

Similar to Christafari, Avion's style and textures are very uncommon. Listening to her CD, it's easy to get swept away in the moment. Her soothing voice permeates the soul. It makes me want to lay out at the beach with headphones on - soaking up the sun. More importantly, her message is just as stimulating and beautiful.

This is a great CD to liven up your contemporary Christian repertoire a bit. For more information check out http://www.lionofzion.com or http://www.avionblackman.com.
